For centuries, coconut oil has been utilised in Ayurveda, valued for its ability to cool and pacify vata. Renowned as a superior moisturizer, it is effective in alleviating skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, and general dryness. The state of Kerala in southern India, which is named for the coconut tree-combining “Kera” (coconut tree) and “Alam” (land)-is the source of some of the finest coconuts available. Our handmade bathing bars are crafted with a base of shea butter, oatmeal, and saponified coconut oil, creating a gentle and soft lather. The oatmeal provides light exfoliation, removing dead skin cells to reveal deeply hydrated skin. This base is enriched with infusions of nuts, flowers, and seeds blended with organic aloe vera leaf juice, then hand-poured into traditional molds. Finally, each bar is cured for at least two weeks before being hand-cut, trimmed, and packaged.
